The "order handling system" (best way I could decribe it) is designed quite well in its ability to allow the allow the system to customized and expanded upon.


In my opinion, it would not be that hard to extend this type of functionality into the "returns handling system" by the addition of system workflows into the core like what is done with the order handling system. Currently, there is very limited capability in what can be customized in the return systems without changing the core do to the lack of workflows being utilized.

Why don't we list the features we'd like?

Off the top of my head...
1. Add Notes to the Order when an RMA is submitted, updated, etc..
2. Add an additional Status of "Received". We open up returns the day we get them, but process refunds days later.
3. Let customers log in to see any RMA updates (could just use #1 though with Public Notes)
4. Be able to sort Returns by Descending date order, etc...

Ah, I just re-read and you want customization ability. Well, the above are just a few things I'd like to do if given the options, I'm sure I could add alot more.
