It seems as though the Inventory Edit admin function will only work if you edit a product's inventory through the Product interface first. If I first try and alter inventory on a product through the Inventory Edit function I can pull the product up fine but if I set the quantity to a certain amount and save changes, the changes will not be in place. I did some investigation into the database and found that not all products are in the bvc_ProductInventory table. I had to first edit the product's inventory through the Product interface for it to show up in the table. My guess is the Inventory Edit feature does not work in cases where the product is not in that table because it only does an update and not an insert. I did migrate my products over from a bvc 2004 cart so maybe that is the cause of products not being in the bvc_ProductInventory table.
