I think I'm having an issue with super long url's. For the site, the product names are very long and the sku's are also very long. For some products, the url won't work unless I change it manually on each product. Here's the question...
1. Is there a limit of characters for the url to work? product name + sku = total # of characters allowed in url
2. Can I remove the sku from the url that gets generated? |

Hi Wanita,
There is not a limit for a URL string, but there is a limit to the actual Product Name stored in the database. The database currently allows the Product Name to have a max length of 255 characters. You cannot remove the sku from the default URL string. You can however rewrite the URL with the rewrite URL function.
