I have BVC5 with latest service pack. How do I collect the customer's email address? It is not on the checkout form for One Page or BVC 2004.

If you enter the store as an unknown shopper (without signing in), the email feild appears above the ship-to address. You cannot complete the checkout without filling it in. If you enter the store as a known shopper, an email was used to sign in for the first time, when the account was created and asking again would be redundant. I would like to have a check in place to see that anything entered into the email field is in the proper form... [email protected],biz, etc.... Currently, asdfjkl; will do nicely. I suppose it's the shopper's business if the adress is correct, but why would you place an order and not enter a valid addy? I'd be the only way to receive shipping followups, tracking etc. |

Never mind. It doesn't show email addresses if it recognizes you.

I'm finding that the email address is not being required even if the "Force email address on anonymous checkout" is checked. I've had a few orders without email addresses, and I would like to avoid that. How do you make it a "required" field? |
