Multiple warehouse locations and Backorder system

Hello,
1. What would be the best way to incorporate a multiple warehouse scenerio with bV? (i.e. 2 warehouse locations, each having their own inventory counts).
2. Say I have a high rate of backorders, how can I easily manage this scenerio? I would like to somehow map my purchase orders with backorders so that I know exactly what items are currently backordered and if indeed I have ordered the correct products from my supplier.
