Setting up Gift Certificates on our site and need some help.
1. How do customers find them (other than the Search Page)?? It isn't assigned to a category or any other means of finding it, other than creating a custom link to the created product ID.
2. Is there a way to customize the page? I would like it to match other Product Pages (i.e., using one of the templates, such as BV5, BV2004, etc.)
3. I don't see a way to "edit" one (Other than an expiration date). One of the things I use gift certificates for is as an "account" for a charitable cause. Is there a way to use them for this purpose, or can someone suggest any other way.

Hello Joe.
1. You can assign Gift Certificates to categories just like products.
2. Here is a little hack; Create a gift certificate via the admin. Next, navigate to this GC in the store and click the “Edit this Product” link. Next, click the save changes button and it should assign the selected product template to the GC. Otherwise, you can modify the layout of the GC page under BVModules > ProductTemplates > ArbitraryPriceGiftCertificate or FixedPriceGiftCertificate.
3. I am not sure what you’re looking to do on this one. Can you give me some more information? |

On 3 -- I would like to edit the AMOUNT of the gift certificate, ie., add to it, use it as an account for certain customers to draw from. I was thinking I could edit by opening the database, but wondered if there was an easier way |

Hello Joe.
Hold off on number 2. I need to look at the code. It could be converting the GC to a product. For now, just edit the product templates I mentioned to change the look of the GC page. |
