I"m not sure I have Google Checkout set up properly. But I got an email from them the same as someone else got:


We've made several unsuccessful attempts to send order notifications to your notification callback URL, https://www.birdsafestore.com/googlenotify.aspx As a result, you aren't receiving order status, risk, or other notifications.


I'm also a little confused about payment. My first order through Google is showing up as "Unpaid" It shows the amount as "Authorized" but when I try and "Charge" the order, I get an error message saying I can't charge for an order that has already been charged.

Normally Google Checkout will notify your store when the charge has been placed, but Google is apparently not able to send the notifications to your store. You will need to fix that first.

Google keeps track of the errors in the Google Checkout merchant interface. Sign on to Google and then navigate to Checkout > Settings > Integration. You will find a table called Integration Issues. Each error is recorded and if you click on the Description you will see all the gory details.

Make sure you have configured Google Checkout correctly (on the Google side). Check that the callback URL does not have a typo and that the callback method is XML. Then make sure that Google Checkout is also correct on the BVC5 side. Check that the merchant ID and merchant key match exactly what is in Google.

If it still does not work, you should open a support ticket with BV Software since they will need to sign on to one or both sides of the conversation (your store and Google Checkout) to fix.

After you have restored the conversation between Google Checkout and your store, you should be able to Charge the orders using Google Checkout and Google will update the store for you.

Thanks Andy -- but I have deactivated Google Checkout -- I just posted another topic on the issue -- until they can get their act together and accept the site's carrier-based rates, it's totally unprofessional and looks bad to the merchant. A customer does a shipping estimate on the cart page and then checks out and the rates are all very differnet.

By the way, I needed one of the Hotfixes for the Google communication issue, everything as far as that is concerned seemed to be working today.

I got this email with the same error message multiple times a day. Luckily its just a minor annoyance, as Google does seem to be working for me.

I brought this up a few times here but haven't figured out why I'm getting tons of errors.

I have received my first Google Checkout order today but order didn't go to our Orders/Admin. I was thinking that every Google Checkout order will automatically create a new order in our Admin section but it didn't. I also got the following error:
