When using the product batch edit-The "url to rewrite' feture it doesn't check/modify/update the custumurl table in the database. If you use this function to change or modify your custom urls it will only update the product table and you will get an error when trying to link to your product because the customurl table wasn't updated/modified.

The import tool isn't importing the custum url's either.
