Product Selections that Affect Shipping Size & Weight

I have several different types of products, but some of them have product attribute selections that affect the size and weight. Also, there is custom logic needed to calculate the number of packages because they are fairly large. Is there a way to add custom shipping logic through plugins or inheritance? |

You can implement custom shipping cost calculations by creating one or more plugins called ShippingProvider (BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core.Shipping.ShippingProvider). There is a sample in the App_Code directory called EstimatedPackageSample, and I have written an article showing how, http://structured-solutions.net/TrackingOnlyShippingProviderI also sell a Shipping Rate Provider Suite that allows you to build just about any logic you can think of using a point-and-click interface. |
