Rank: Member Joined: 11/20/2005(UTC) Posts: 122		I am currently using Crystal Reports for the following reasons: <OL> * PDF generation on the fly * Reports are highly customizable and printable </OL> However, there are several reasons why I don't like Crystal - especially the huge deployment package size and difficulty with integration. I would like to move away from Crystal if possible. <OL> * How does the reporting framework within BVC5 stack up against Crystal's feature set? * Does the reporting framework allow you to customize the report header, page header, footer, etc similar to the way Crystal does? * Does the BVC5 reporting framework allow you to do page numbering, such as page X of Y? * Does it account for page breaks when printing on multiple pages? * Is there a way to make it print on non-standard sized pages or standard sheets of Avery labels? * Can the reports be converted to PDF without 3rd party support? </OL>

Rank: Member Joined: 11/5/2003(UTC) Posts: 1,786		BV Commerce 5 allows you to drop in your own report pages as .aspx pages using whatever report "package" you would like. The builtin reports do not use a commercial reporting package and are all custom code.
