We are getting orders in without a problem, however now when the person pays via Credit Card OR PayPal they are not having a user created for them. In otherwords, A new user arrives at the store. They add in all their information for billing and shipping, etc. Checkout and the order is placed. If I go into users and search for them via email orr name they do not show up.
The number of users found is still the same as it was last night when we went live

Hi Chris,
By default, bvc5 now uses a username rather than an e-mail address for the user account system. As such in order for an order to be associated with a user account, the customer must create an account in advance and be signed into their account when they place their order.
We have developed a modification that changes a few of the files of the bvc5 that causes the username to become the e-mail address by default and also automatically creates an account with a random password for customers using 1 page checkout that have chosen the option "Force User Email on Anonymous Checkout".
It is currently not in a commercial form, however if there is interest in this product we will consider making it available. |

Is there a way to use 1 page checkout and to force a user account to be created upon checkout out of the box? Seem funny not to give that option cause people don't know they are not creating an account at the time. I would think I was creating an account if done this way. |

I've seen a few 'errors' in the event log... people trying to sign into an account that hadn't been created. At least those few haven't called to complain about not being able to get into thier account. |

I added to the workflow Checkout Selected - "Require Login Before Checkout" now it requires them to create an account before checking out. Thanks Everett! |
