I figured out how to do the price groups and assign them to a user and that is working fine.
My question has to do with what the price groups will see when something is on sale?
Say i have a price group that is 20% off of list.
I have a product that i sell for $100.00. So that price group will pay $80.00. Simple enough.
Now say i put that product on sale for 20% off or list. Will the price group will see $80.00 or will they see $64.00 ($80.00 - 20%).

Dan,
They will see $64.00 -- though I'm not sure what happens if you do an offer and you click "not to combine with other offers" -- I don't know if that applies to Price Groups or not. |

Is it possible since they would be in a price group, to exclude a price group from a sale or offer? |

I think i figured it out. As long as i put the price groups off of List price and do the sales off or Site price. The price group does not get a double discount. I need that ability as we don't give our dealers a double discount when we run sales. We do give them some additonal off, but not that much additional.
It would be nice to be able to assign or exclude price groups or groups from sales and offers as needed.

I'd also like to have a special category or two just for members of the price groups, a 'hidden' web catalog for members only. |
