I need to add questions to the user login that are not single line text boxes or combo boxes (single line text boxes and combo boxes can be added using the BVAdmin interface, without changing any code).
I am happy to modify the database and code so that the [2]AddDynamicQuestions in NewUserControl.ascx.vb accepts different "types" of controls, but I am interested to know if there is a better solution.[/2]
My concern is that if I start changing the BVC code, when a service pack comes out, I will not be able to install it as it may end up overwriting my changes.
Does anyone know of a better solution?

Is the above solution recommemded? How else could changes be made to the login screen?

I would recommend just editing those files and controls and then merging your changes - using a tool like Beyond Compare, or similar - when the time to update to a new service pack arrives. |
