i am trying to figure out an easy way to migrate the rewritten urls to my new BV site. i have used ISAPI Rewrite in the old web.
out of interest what's the difference between using the Rewriteurl column in the Product table of the DB and the Custom Urls table in the DB?
Thanks |

oh well - not much help here then... so sad to say that although SF is completely inferior compared to BV, their forum and the help you get on it seem to be better. what a shame! never thought i would say that, very sad... |

Actually, I relied on the help at the other cart's forum a bit too much. I was glad to have the help, but the need to work out some of my own solutions (and apply other's solutions for which I am grateful) has made me a better user. The help from the BVC crew is far, far better than at the other cart's help desk - by a long shot). I'm far from proficient.... but I know BV5 better than I ever knew SF6.
We can definately use a few really well tuned free-lancers that don't have 2-3 month waiting lists. Wallace and a few others can turn some really well executed custom work out in a day for a few hundred bucks. It's one thing that I feel is holding BV5 back, as well as the current manual. The help at the BV5 forum is on par with the other's forum, there are some very good, generous users here.
You posted on Sunday.... You'll get an answer. |

Thanks Mitch - I am sure I have made the right decision by switching - just frustrating when you want to get on and you can't find an anwer by searching and you have to wait for your posts to be moderated.
I think Randall, Wallace and the others will HAVE to get up to speed soon - they are not going to have any customers left soon! |
