Greetings,
We have a client who wants its customers to be able to make sales without creating an account in their ecommerce system. In other words, their contact info would be tied to the order specifically but no reusable account created. (Not saying this is the best paradigm, but it is what the client is asking for...) My understanding is that normally when a user tried to checkout they would be brought to the account creation screen, at least that's how I remember BVC4 working though it has been a few years since I have worked with it.
I didn't see anonymous purchasing on the list of BVC5 features but it may be called something else - does BVC5 support this?

Yes, BV Commerce 5 has the option to let customers purchase without creating an account first. It also has the option to require accounts before checkout if you wish.
