I have a client who is trying to decide between a hosted solution and purchasing the software. They have some requirements that would almost certainly require customization of the core application (i.e. a role based approval process for entering / enabling products among others).

Do you offer the ability to combine a hosted solution with application customizations (presumably provided by your consulting group or a partner), or are all the BVSignature hosted stores required to use the core code base?

(I think the customer will most likely go with the purchased software solution based on their low monthly volume and a few other considerations, but I want them to have full knowledge of their options before they decide).

BV Signature has the ability to add static pages to your hosted site and has the BV Flex template language. These two features provide a lot of flexibility. If you need to customize the software beyond what is available at that point we offer semi-dedicated and dedicated plans. We will look at the custom programming requirements and determine if it would be better to branch your store code or two integrate the feature into all versions of BV Signature. In most cases we can offer some discount if the feature would be useful to multiple merchants. We do not support third party custom coding on BV Signature. If you would like another company to do your custom programming you should choose BV Commerce.
