Why is the search function here so bad? about 9 out or 10 times it times out or gives an error. that really needs to be fixed. |

I can't understand why this isn't being fixed..but a helpful tip is to search any date and it will work.

Its terrible - 9 times out of 10 - i have to spend hours finding something i found some time ago that i need.
mostly time out errors!
On a nice snowy day - when things slow down and Marcus you are working from home...... plz fix the issue - sp's <smile> |

Probably have to wait for the new forum software. In the meantime, use the "Any Date" (Like C indicated) and you will not time-out everytime. |

I found that if you select "Any Date" it will return a search -- you choose any other timeframe and it times out. |

I'd like to see another sort:
Search text in posts only,
Search text in tread titles only,
Search both text and thread titles. |

we inherited the search code when we bought dotnetbb. We're working on a much improved search mechanism for the next update to dotnetbb.
