Hi,

For a Tax Invoice to be valid it needs to have a valid Date on it. I tried to use the new [[Site.TimeStamp]] but it has a time component in it as well that I don't need.

Can you please add [[Site.Date]] that has DateOnly and no time please and no time in it. I've been asking for this for a while now and it's so simple to do .. please...

Thanks,

Corneliu.

You can edit the core code to fix this, if you have access.

Chris,
I can edit the code but I don't want to edit the code. I think BV should be flexible enough to either have all the tags we need or for us to be able to add tags without modifying the code.
Since BV5 beta I've asked (and proposed the technical solution) that would allow me to add new tags to emails/prints without changes to the core but it never happend.
I know I can do it from JavaScript only as well in the browser but that's again a hack :)
It has to be in the Core or easy to add dynamically (e.g. Like you add Tasks)

I tried javascript, but it wouldn't run in Outlook. It ran on a test page in IE to make sure I got the javascript right.

We, as developers and users, are not aware of the list of requirements BV has used in developing the code. One can only hope that all the "Requested features" get evaluated by BV. Why they choose one over another could be timing (a later build) or the expected low usage of the feature (not enough people would want it to justify the cost). Maybe the request wasn't clear as to why it is needed.

From what I can see in the code, the [[tags]] are replaced by core code. Bringing all that out of th core so it can be like the SiteTerms is probably a lot of work and may not be justified. It could be easier to just add the tags people request. A workflow perhaps that calls the custom tags?

Temporarily, can you add the original date to a notes field so it doesn't get overwritten?
