BV Commerce 5 is PCI compliant with best practices but has not completed certification yet. We are working to complete the certification process before it is officially required. At this time certified software is NOT required. PCI certified software will become a requirement for larger merchants in the next year or two and eventually for all merchants.

Also, it has a LOT to do with the hosting environment. When you get to site specific audits, you will see a lot beyond the "application" that is looked at. |

Noah is correct. You can have a certified application but if your host hasn't passed a PCI audit the application certification doesn't matter.

I understand site specific requirements, I more worried about this deadline of March 2008 that's been handed down by our Merchant processor(s).

Unless you have modified it beyond compliance, and your hosting setup is secure, BV will pass from a code sense. |
