Hello.
I just installed SP3.1. Unfortunately, after recompling I am getting the following error:
BC32206: The project currently contains references to more than one version of BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core, a direct reference to version 5.0.0.947 and an indirect reference (through 'BVSoftware.Bvc5.Payment.EcLinx3DSI') to version 5.0.0.1181. Change the direct reference to use version 5.0.0.1181 (or higher) of BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core.
When I look at the assembly information within the "My Project" for the BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core project, both the asembly version and the file version are 5.0.0.1181
If I drag the dll from the Bvc5SP2ToSP3WithSource\src\Bin folder of the downloaded service pack all works great. However, as soon as I recompile the core project I get the error.
The only lead I have is that in the original dll I download from the BVC website, if I right click the core dll and choose properties, and then click on the version tab, both the file version and the assembly value read 5.0.0.1181. However, if I do the same with my compiled ddl what I see almost defies belief. The file version shows 5.0.0.1181, but down under other version information, the assembly value has a value of 5.0.0.947.
I can find nowhere in the assemblies or any of the code in fact where this .947 lives, and thus where I can change it.
Any thoughts or leads would be appreciated.
-Michael
p.s. I'm so very glad I made a back up of my project! :-)

Expand all the References folders in every project (including the web project) and make sure that they are all referencing exactly the same Core.DLL.
You probably feel like you already did this....but it is the only way this can happen unless VS has just become utterly confused (try closing and opening it). |
