Shipping Notification Email w/ multiple packages

Hi
Many of our shipments require several fedex boxes to be shipped. in the order, i create each package, but i cannot figure out how to have it send just 1 email to the customer when shipping the packages. it seems like you have to click ship this package for each, and each generates its own email to the customer. thus the customer gets 3 shipping notifications with each building on the previous one.
is there a way to create all the packages, and do 1 ship, and thus 1 shipping notification?

Each notice gives a different tracking number, and often in my case the packages are shipping on different dates or from different manufacturers (drop shipped). Sep. notices are a good thing for me at least. The alternative would be to 'hold' notices until the last one ships, then send the notice with all tracking #s. By the time the last box ships, the first may have been received.
Don't know how to have it both ways unless you always manually send the notices.
Major gripe here:
Can we PLEASE have a log of notices/emails so a record of customer communications can be reveiwed? This is one add-on/upgrade I'd gladly pay for. |

yes, i totally understand the reason for separate notifications. i have the same need. but i would also like to have the option to "Ship All" of the created packages at once
