I might be missing something here, but when my boss asks me how many pounds of Cinnamon Almonds we've sold on the web so far, do I need to go to Reports/Top Products and move from page to page until Cinnamon Almonds displays? Thank you, Joe www.georgehowe.com

Third party developers needed:
A more robust admin would be nice to have right about now. Sales and marketing reports/aids are nearly non-existent as is. "Top Products" is useless when what you really need to know is how many of product "X" sold with choice/modifier "Y" (Coffee, 5 lb bags) in 1Q 2007. Obtaining order fulfillment lag time per manufacturer/product category or product would be good to know when customers start complaining about slow service on certain products. Just scanning down a column can't even be done now.
I have a customer who consistently signs in 'fresh' every time instead of using an account. He doesn't show up in "Sales by Customer" even though he's #5 in unit-volume. In admin>reports, he's invisible. Why have it set this way? He exists, really!
A product on my "Top Products" list can only be ordered off-line, off site but it's shown as selling 7 units. How? Makes me doubt all information shown in this list. Useless tab.
I signed on with BV in March 06. I had really hoped to see more tools/add-ons available by now. I know, lack of numbers makes developement unrealistic, but the availability of add-ons helps drive the base software sales up. They work hand-in-hand. Money, I've got. I can't make my own diagnostic tools.
An exception is Andy's Shipper add-ons. First rate and constantly getting better. If BV didn't have Shipper, I'd have looked elsewhere or stayed w/SF a bit longer.
Anyone know if Quickbooks will import/cook the numbers for us? |

BV should just develop and sell the addons themselves, none of us merchants would care where they come from and it's an added revenue source for them. Sell them as addons now, next version they're included. Repeat the process with additional requested features.
We'd gladly pay $500 today for a choice grid that didn't limit us and just allowed us to choose colors/sizes but we gave up trying to find developers.

If "Top Products" is the only way to view total sales for each product, then is there at least a way to have all of the products appear on one page rather than a display of 10 per page? Thank you, Joe www.georgehowe.com

Edit the BVModules\Reports\Top Products\View.aspx and set the AllowPaging="True" to AllowPaging="False".
This should do the trick.
