Hello, Due to an unfortunately incident of theft from our rental service I need to recover a credit card number that was used on our site. Not realizing that credit card numbers were dropped so quickly when we first opened I messed up and no longer have the number. It looks like I'm going to have to press charges against the customer and I'm wondering if there is any way to recover the credit card that was used. I'm assuming no for security reasons but I thought I'd ask. Thanks, Jason www.glassandgear.com

Unfortunately, once the cleanup is run, the numbers are gone. If you're on a 19 set backup rotation, you could go back to an old backup, wire that up to a BV install and then get the number. Short of that, you won't be able to recover the information. |

You might be able to recover it from your transaction processor. The copy I use to process transactions allows me to login to an administrative console where I can see all my transactions and even if I can't see the full CC details I can see enough to be able to place charges. Regards, Corneliu. |

Unfortunately, PayPal doesn't do this so I guess I'm out of luck. The police and our insurance company are now involved so one of the two should be able to take care of it for us. Never like having to resort to that but at this point, I have no choice. Jason www.glassandgear.com
