I am in the process of testing my credit card gateway with BV5. Everytime that the program attempts to authorize the credit card, I get the message, "<SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl03_NoteField>Authorize Warning: Transaction Declined - The Order number is a required field." This error occurs at the order submission, as well as, at the manual authorize option within the order details of the admin section. Within the order details, the order number is a pre-populated field that I am not changing. In theory, this should be the number that the program claims is not being sent, when it is obviously in the text box. This error is preventing any information from being sent to the gateway, and keeping us from taking any credit card payments through the site.



We have yet to install any of the patches due to time constraints in getting the site into production. So we are working with the original package, and taking only phone payments. We are currently holding off on the upgrade of the software until we have a schduled weekend, due to the fear that the updates could compromise custom code which I developed for various pages, including templates, and main level pages.



I have yet to try to get into the code and try to fix the issue due to the sensitive nature of the process in question.



So, what can be done to resolve this? Will the updates resolve this, and if so, what reprocusions can I expect to find with any custom code I have placed within any of the main level pages, in addition to any site settings? Is there something I can do to fix this in code, and where exactly should I look for the issue (we purchased the developer edition).
