I have some dealers that when ordering from us use a Perchase Order # to identify who the order is for on thier end. But they also want to be able to pay using a credit card.

Is it possible to allow the purchase order option along with Credit Card payment? Can this even be modified to be done?

Thanks
Dan

Yep, same here. Filled in CC info, clicked the PO button.... I added a bit of text to encourage the use of one payment method. A few emails got the regulars to put the PO in the special instructions box - only thing is... it isn't available as an email/invoice feild at the top of the paperwork unless you risk a paragraph of lengthy special instructions in your email headers. I'd like to be able to fill in the PO box AND use a cc.

What about instructing the customer to put the PO number that they wish to use in the special instructions field? Is there a specific reason to put the PO number in the PO field and not the Special Instructions field?

I removed the PO field as I want customers to first place the order and then I give the instructions on how to pay. That also allows me to chase them up.
Forcing them to put in a PO means they have to open another browser, pay for the order copy that field into the PO and then submit my order.
Too long & complex.

For what you need I would add a custom property to the order as in "Your Reference Number" and present that on the screen as a separate entry they has nothing to do with the selected payment method.

Corneliu.

That's it. A PO isn't a form of payment anyway.
