I just started using inventory on a few items that it matters but I can't seem to get the words "Item is out of stock" to display. For instance this belt product http://www.kataaro.com/Products/Rank-Belt-2-White-Stripes---CLOSE-OUT__94913.aspx Beige sz 0 is out of stock. The Add To Cart buttom disappears but no "Item is out of stock" text appears. I have inventory set to "Show as out of stock (do not allow orders)" for this item. My site terms are correct. I don't see any mention of out of stock items in my style sheet, but I don't know if I should. I'm using BVC 2004 Product Template. Any ideas what I should do next? Thanks, Tom

What Version of BV 5 are you using?
I'm using BV5 SP3.2 and I have everything inventoried set to "Show as Out of Stock (Do Not Allow Orders)". On our site it does not display the product no matter what template we are using when the item is out of stock. It was working correctly most of the year but appears to have been broken since the holidays. At least on our site it is broken on SP3.2 (although we did make some modifications recently).
Anyone else having problems with this setting on SP3.2?

Which template are you using? Inventory is only displayed on the BV5Inventory and BV2004Inventory templates, though I think the Out of Stock message should be displayed |

I'm using BVC5 with the latest SP3.2 and Painted Paper theme. I've only started using this feature after the new SP3.2 so I don't know if it would have been working before.

Ok. I just checked a different product on our site and it is working properly. The out of stock msg is displayed just above our image. But we don't have any product choices on inventoried products this year.

I tested inventory feature on an item with no product choices on my site and I still did not get the "out of stock" text to appear. Must be a site-specific problem for me, then. I hope I can find it.
