*** Only install this fix if you have SP3.2 installed! ***

You can tell if you have SP3.2 installed by looking in the upper right hand corner in the admin area of your store.

This update includes minor updates to the search stored proc in order to increase performance. You must open this stored proc and run it directly against your database in order to install.

The speed difference is night and day on the search after this fix!

I get this error when I try to run it [1]
Msg 208, Level 16, State 6, Procedure bvc_Product_StoreSearch_s, Line 439

Invalid object name 'dbo.bvc_Product_StoreSearch_s'.

I have 3.2.

It looks to me like you are not in the correct database when you run this. Make sure that inside of SQL Server management studio, the drop down list at the top has the correct db selected. Otherwise you will get this error if it can't find the stored proc to modify.

I second Matt@8Ball - I was seriously considering a hardware update before I installed this update. If you haven't already, install it now.

Some hotfixes are now part of 3.2, but is this one? If I install 3.2 now, how do I know what hotfixes are still applicable?

None of the 3.2 hotfixes are in the 3.2 distribution. You need to add them yourself. They will be in the SP4 distribution.
