Hi Everyone,

I'm still searching for the perfect newsletter engine out there :)

I'd like it to have the following features:

1. ASP.Net 2.0 + source code available or at least old BV style of code+pages & engine separatelly.

2. I can deploy it on my own servers (not hosted solution)

3. VERY Good HTML editor. I hate the ones from ConstantContact or VerticalResponse and others. Way too hard to do anything usefull.

4. Not extremly expensive (up to $200-$300)

5. WebService access to add/remove users from lists.

Thanks,

Corneliu.

I use a *Pay As You Send* newsletter service through http://www.campaignmonitor.com/ as well as Constant Contact for others.

Never used Xigla, but knowing Joe, he's been using Xigla for quite a while and he wouldn't suggest something that didn't work well :)

Not sure if Xigla is sending the emails from their end or from your own mail server, but I suggest sticking to services that send the emails as they'll deal with the spam, bandwidth & whitelisting issues.

I had more white/blacklist issues with Constant Contact than I have had with Xigla, though recently Yahoo has been blocking emails sent to a number of thier users in a given timeframe. I found that if I slowed down the number of sent emails to a certain level per minute then it lessens that problem. I've also not had an issue with bandwidth on our dedicated server and I'm sending out to about 750 subscribers

Hey joe, I just did a tour of xigla, never really took the time to delve into it. Looks like it's exactly what C is looking for.
