I recently started accepting Google Checkout on my site. Everything bills correctly, but unlike credit cards and Paypal after the money is captured it does not mark the order as paid. How can I manually and or get Google Checkout to mark the orders as paid?

Thanks,
Joseph

Any help would be appreciated. Maybe I'm not explaining it correctly.

Steps

1. From the Admin Orders Panel I select the order then the payment tab.

2. The customer used Google Checkout so I select the charge button.

3. The order charges, but the order does not update as being paid although it shows as charged in google checkout.

The problem is that I now have orders that show that the customer has not paid even though I know they have. Is there a manual way to change this?

Hi Joseph,

This is most likely a problem with the integration with Google Checkout. Check your bvc event log as well as the google checkout integration logs. Most likely you will find some errors in them helping to indicate the problem.

Unlike paypal and credit card, GC is not real time. When you receive a payment from google checkout what actually happens is that BVC5 sends a request to GC and says "hey charge the card for this order and let me know how it goes". GC receives the request, adds it to their queue for processing and when the cc is actually processed it sends a response to bvc5 and informs bvc5 of the success or failure of the charge. Most likely the url and settings for this response are not configured correctly in your store.

Hi Caplink,

Thanks for the response. Could it have anything to do with the emails I have been getting from Google? See below.

Email:

"We've made several unsuccessful attempts to send order notifications to your notification callback URL, https://www.symbiotestudios.com/googlenotify.aspx As a result, you aren't receiving order status, risk, or other notifications.

To help you identify the issue with your callback URL, please review the errors we encountered while sending notifications to you. To review this error information:

Sign in to Google Checkout.
Click on the Tools tab.
Click Integration Console.
Error messages will appear under 'Integration Issues.' If necessary, you can also update your callback URL in the 'API callback URL' box on the same page."

I am not sure how to fix these. My API callback URL is https://www.symbiotestudios.com/googlenotify.aspx

My error log shows the following two errors over and over

"6/12/2008 1:48:34 PM System.Web C:\Domains\symbiotestudios.com\wwwroot\BVModules\Controls\GoogleCheckoutButton.ascx.vb(37): error BC30454: Expression is not a method.[ at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.PostProcessFoundBuildResult(BuildResult result, Boolean keyFromVPP, VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetBuildResultFromCacheInternal(String cacheKey, Boolean keyFromVPP, VirtualPath virtualPath, Int64 hashCode) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultFromCacheInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.BaseTemplateParser.GetReferencedType(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean allowNoCompile) at System.Web.UI.BaseTemplateParser.GetUserControlType(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.MainTagNameToTypeMapper.ProcessUserControlRegistration(UserControlRegisterEntry ucRegisterEntry) at System.Web.UI.BaseTemplateParser.ProcessDirective(String directiveName, IDictionary directive) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControlParser.ProcessDirective(String directiveName, IDictionary directive) at System.Web.UI.PageParser.ProcessDirective(String directiveName, IDictionary directive) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseStringInternal(String text, Encoding fileEncoding) ]

Any ideas?

I am not sure if that is the cause of yor troubles or not as that error is pointing to a problem with the googlecheckout button which is not part of the googlenotify.aspx page.

Is it possible for you to copy and paste line 37 of your googlecheckoutbutton.ascx.vb?

Also can you check the contents of the google checkout integration log and post anything that may appear in that log?
