It looks like when you have an marketing offer (e.g. free shipping) set up for various products, if you delete one of the products, you are no longer able to edit the offer.

The other products already assigned to the offer still receive the benefit of the offer (e.g. free shipping) but when you try to edit it via the Marketing->Offers menu, it throws an asp/iis error about not being able to assign a DataGrid (or something similar, I don't have it here).

Also, we've been unable to find the database table that ties various products to offers, so the only resolution we've found is to delete the offer and then create a new one and add all of the products to it.

Is this a bug? Does anyone know how to fix this? It seems like if you delete a product via the bvadmin console, it should take care of these ties, or the offer edit page should remove non-existent products when you go to edit it. Or does anyone know where to find the Offer<->Product xrefs in the db?

Hello Jake,

Yes. This does seem to be a bug in the current version of BV. From BV Admin UI, you cannot edit an offer if one or more product(s) which belong to that offer do not exist (because you deleted them). I would suggest making the products inactive instead of deleting them all together.

Now to answer your question "where to find the mapping between an offer and the products", you can find this information in the [2]bvc_ComponentSettingList table.[/2]

Its not very evident to perform deletes from this table unless you know what you are doing. Let us know if you need further help in this regard.

And in order to correctly identify the list name, do this:

For Free Shipping offer, you will see a listname with the name "[2]FreeShippingProducts" in the bvc_ComponentSettingList table.
[/2]

For Buy One Get One offer, you will see a listname with the name "[2]PurchasedProducts[/2][2]" in the bvc_ComponentSettingList table.[/2]
