Sale Products Causing Shipping Methods to Not Display

So, my client has some products on sale this month (normal 20% off products by category). When you add one or a few of these products to your cart and check shipping, it returns "$0.00 - Contact Store for Details". If you add one non-sale product, shipping is calculated correctly (FedEx). Has anyone else seen this issue with sale products affecting shipping methods that display?

After a bit more troubleshooting, I was able to narrow it down to one product causing the issue. All variants of this product had their weight set properly to .65 lbs, but I went ahead and copied the main value back down to all of the variants using the green arrow. Now, shipping is calculating fine. So, it seems as though these products lost their actual weight value even though it displayed it properly in the interface...

This sounds like a similar problem to one I posted last week. See http://forums.bvcommerce.com/default.aspx?f=100&m=59129. If you enter a weight with more than 2 decimal places in the edit product variations page, it gets rounded down to 2 decimal places - mine were being rounded down to zero. We got the same shipping message. If you fill the product variation weights using the green arrow, they are not rounded down. Jenny |
