We are wanting to setup a Reseller account for some companies in which they get a discount off of certain select SKU's based on their username/password. So when they log in and look/add a product they will see the discount. If they buy something else that is not identified as reseller discount they would see the normal price.
Is anyone else doing this? I don't see it possible with the existing interface and was hoping that perhaps someone has designed something like this. I would like to hear from anyone that can potentially do this as well.

We did something similar, but for the whole store, not just for individual products. What we did was set of a price group of say 0% off of SITE COST. Since the COST field was something we didn't use, and is not displayed to normal customers, we now use the COST field as the reseller price. It works great.
I would think something similar could be set up as a sale... but maybe not. |

What I ended up doing was to create a new Workflow used Role permissions and Type Properties to get what I needed. Thankfully I didn't have to change any of the core files and I just needed to create one class and one slight DB add to make it work. |

Could you go into a little more detail this might be something I would like to explore. I am not sure how you would do this using workflows.
