I am working on a site that currently has BV5 running on it. I have all the source but need to run it locally in order to modify some of the non-BV5 custome code. Unfortunately BV5 fails out on every page because it apparently needs the database to even run the simple default.aspx? So, I either need to be able to disable the BV5 while I am debugging, or set up a test database? Downloaded the trial install from the site so I could see the db and "Create a Store" errored out on me.
So
1) Is there a way to disable BV5 on certain pages easily?
2) Is there a way to create a base database in my local SQL2k5 so the site will at least come up?
Note, I did not do the site originally and the BV5 stuff seems like total overkill for their needs.
But any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jebben
