Hi,
I have this problem with "BVC 54 Full And Patch Rev4" file:
Fresh installation - not upgrade.
No customization files.
Create category.
Create product.
Display page product.
Assign quantity 10.
Insert product in the cart.
From cart:
when back from cart to the product (link from cart),
all quantities are reset at 1.
Same from kit.
Select part item.
Insert kit in the cart.
When back from cart to the kit (link from cart),
all part item are reset (not selected).

Make sure the URLs are correct on the security page (BV Admin > Options > Site Settings > Security) and that you have cookies enabled. |

The URLs in page security are ok,
cookies are enabled.
I have all permission in space web hosting,
but the problem remains.
Please, any idea?

Hi, I use simple hosting web. Full trust. I tested the installation on multiple local computers (localhost). In hosting I tested the installation on: http://www.mydomain.comhttp://subdomain.domain.com. For all test (localhost, hosting) I have the same problem. I can not understand the problem. So, if I understand correctly, the values in the cart do not change but if you click on an item link in the cart it resets the product detail page quantity to "1" instead of the line item value? Is that right?

Yes.
Exactly then quantity is reset to "minimum quantity of order".

Do you have a custom product page template? If not, which one are you using for the product? BV5 or BVC2004 product page template?

No custom product page template. I have a problem with any template. Test: I tested the cart on your site ( www.bvsoftware.com/store) and i get the same problem. Please, see the image. Opera77 attached the following image(s):  cart_quantity.png (23kb) downloaded 72 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

You know what marcus... I've never noticed this before?!?!! Happening on 3.2 here.
Resets the value to 1 and if the user clicks the "Save Changes" button, it resets the quantity to 1 in the cart. |

Never noticed it before either. Seems like the Qty value from the line item isn't set in the product template correctly.

I haven't had any clients call me about this. Normally, I'm called 30 seconds after a customer calls with an issue. I would say that this is a very rare event but would be good to tidy up. |

The problem is more serious with the kit. To return from the cart, is maintained the price but are lost all the "items part" selected previously.
When there are dozens of "items part" selected, the problem is obvious.

Revision 5 of BV Commerce 5.4 is now available from your store accounts. This corrects the quantity box bug, a line item clone bug and Google Analytics settings bug. You can run the upgrade on a 5.4 rev 4 store or manually copy just the changes files.
Antonio, the kitting selections are not repopulated by design in 5.4 rev 5. This was cut due to time constraints and I hope to implement it in a future revision.

I'm testing the kitting with 5.4 rev 5. I'm seeing the problem. But i also noticed when i was using the radio buttons for the choices and returned to the kit from the cart, all the radio buttons are unchecked. I changed to the drop down boxes for the choices. Now when returning to the kit from the cart they all return to the default selection. One other problem i noticed. I was giving a discount for purchasing as a kit. I applied the discount by using a component that was (Incluced -Hidden) to subtract a set amount. That works fine. But when i was testing with the radio button selection and you returned from the cart. The hidden discount was still being applied and the customer could select only one item in the kit and save changes to the cart and the kit amount could end up negative. This is a flaw that needs to be fixed. I'm sorry, but should not have been cut! Very dissapointed! |
