Better way of adding and maintaing products?

How do you guys edit and maintain your product data? Adding images to BV seems to take forever and is just overall time consuming and trying to add upsells/crosssells makes me want to pull my hair out (if i had any :) ) Anyone have any tips or tricks to speed it up?

I name my two images XXXsm and XXXlg. If you can, keep names simple & cut and paste the location, and edit 'sm' to 'lg' on the product page. IE: ....ski24lg.jpg, ....ski24sm.jpg.
Adding add'l images... same edit trick otherwise.... Click, click, click, click....
Up and crosssells are a PITA in a major way. Zero flexibility. Zero group edits. Zero sharing. Zero capacity for random placement or cross category/same category automatic population. There are numerous requests for better up and crosssells on the forum.
If there's a way to pair one category's products to a group of crosssells for auto population, I haven't found it. It'd be nice huh?
Imagine products from 'outerwear' showing as crosssells when jackets or gloves was being shopped - automatically.
C'mon - the economy is S-L-O-W... Someone much brighter than me with a little time on their hands can make a plug-in to do this.... |
