Hello, I installed the full version of 5.4 and something appears to be wrong.
Every couple of minutes or so, I get logged off the admin panel, and when I log in, I see in the 'Event Log' section, an error pops up : 'SQL Patcher' - 'App Version SP4 - SQL Version 6'
This is what seems to be freezing the site and logging a user off.
Could this be running in the background as rogue?
How can I turn this off and has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,
Dave

The SQL Patcher runs a quick check every time the application starts to see if the database is patched to the latest version. It sounds like your app pool is recycling quite often which causes the log out and the SQL patcher check.
Check with your web host and find out why your app pool is recycling so often.

Hi,
We have our app pool recycle once every night, and also see this message in the log. However we have noticed recently that after this happens, the store is closed and displays the closed.aspx page.
The admin swears he didn't check the box to 'close the store' in the admin panel. Is that possible to happen automatically?

The SQL Patcher check was rebuilt for 5.5 which should eliminate the constant checks and event log entries on app recycles.

Hi, Marcus
Thanks for the update with 5.5, however my question was still in regards to the possibility of the store 'closing' automatically after that runs? Is that even possible? The store closed checkbox was checked, however our admins didn't close it.
Thanks

I'll have to check. I don't think the store is closed at all by the patcher.

I ran into the same issue after I upgraded a site to 5.5. The closed after I opened it. |
