5.4 rev 5: Hot Fix H - PayPal Express Checkout Sends incorrect money format for non-US currencies

The PayPal express checkout is sending money in the local currency format instead of the US format for non-US locales. The updated file corrects this issue by forcing the amount to render under the en-US locale which add the "." separator that PayPal is expecting. This is a core source code file and will require you to recompile your core module. If you do not wish to recompile you can wait for the 5.5 service pack which will include this fix. Hi Marcus,
I just wanted to clarify....I am running 5.3.2 and have also tried an upgraded version to 5.4 and under both circumstances (for me) the PayPal Express was working fine, it was the PayPal's Website Payments Pro that was passing the incorrect cunrrency code.
Thanks,
Derek |

Derek,
This was for another customer who is outside the US and currency was passed to Express like this: 99,99 which is the correct format for their locale. However, the PayPal express developer docs specify that all money values have to be formated according to US standards even if the currency code is not USD. In the example above, the hot fix correctly sends the value as 99.99 regardless of currency code used.
