controlling the display order in a long list of shared choices

I have a store with large number of shared choices. When I go to associate a product with a shared choice I have to continually look up and down the list to find the choice I want. Is it possible to control how a list of shared choices displays, something like alpha order or does it display in the order in which the choices were input?

No. My list of over 50 seems to be random. Your list of users will look about the same, but at least it's searchable. Maybe BVC6 will spare our eyeballs.
I'd also like to see (by clicking on a button next to the shared choice/modifier) a pop-up listing the products that use the shared choice/modifier.

Really? When I look at a list of shared choices they are alphabetized.
Mitch, I like the idea of being able to see the products associated with a given shared choice. |

I checked one of our sites that's 5.3.2 and they're not sorted the same way. It looks like they're grouped by type and sorted alphabetically within the group. |
