A client recently noticed when using firefox or safari (internet explorer ok) if he clears his cookies then goes to his site: http://www.vivamonster.com/beta and adds an item to his cart then clicks check out he'll be directed back to the main page with an empty cart everytime. Checking the logs clearly shows the site issuing a new cart id. Has anyone experienced this?

The site may have cookies for the SSL checkout that are separate from the cookies on the non-SSL side. Clearing one does not clear both.

what can i do then will using the cookie settings under security settings to set the path and domain work? I don't ever remember having this issue before ssl was enabled....
