Hi.
I have 1&1 MS Developer shared hosting plans. I can use BV Commerce 5 in this web hosting service?
Does anybody know if someone has already done it?
Thank you. Firmo

I can't answer your question, but if they don't already have SEVERAL BV sites, I would steer clear and go with a more experienced BV host -- the host is probably 80 percent of a successful site -- if they don't know what they are doing, you are in for a long, painful road. |

Agreed. The difference in cost (if any) is meaningless when you need to make a panicked phone call for help and your host gets you up and running again in just a few minutes. |

If you're serious, I'd recommend Resposio, if you're not..well it doesn't matter.

Firmo, I only used 1&1 for an ASP.NET site one time, and they didn't support a control that we were using. We ultimately had to switch the client to another hosting company to get their new site to run. Granted, the site wasn't a BV site. You will definitely pay more for good e-commerce hosting (usually starts at $50/month), but it's definitely worth the cost for better performance, support and flexibility. I also recommend you talk with Resposio. |

BV Commerce requires full trust but 1&1.com does not allow Full Trust ASP.Net applications unless you own a dedicated server. At least this was the case till last year. Havent checked lately. |
