Hi, I am developing a site for a customer and their question to me was "will it be PCI Compliant"? How can I respond?
Thanks in advance.....

Derek,
At this moment in time BV is not PCI Compliant as a software package. However, you can have a site PCI certified by using a service like McAfee ScanAlert (formerly HackerSafe). We have a few clients that use this, and BV passes with flying colors (assuming your server is properly configured). |

Thanks Aaron!
I use both Resposio and Appliedi. I would assume that this client is likely asking if the hosting is PCI compliant (as required by some card processors).
I will look into the Scanalert if necessary....
Thanks,

Derek,
I am using BV5 with Applied I and have been using HackerSafe/McAfee for a few years now and it's been trouble-free and the PCI compliance has gone through just fine. I think Applied I also has a similar service for PCI Compliance/hacker checks for a discounted rate. |
