Service Pack 5.5 is in testing and should be available next week. There is a requirements change that you should be aware of.
BV Commerce 5, Service pack 5 and later will require .NET Framework version 3.5 SP1 or later. Most web hosting companies can provide this for you. .NET 3.5 is really just .NET 2.0 with some additional code libraries so it is not a rewrite of the application, does not require recompiling and will not affect templates, templates, etc.
There are some changes to the web.config file and this is one of the reasons that testing for 5.5 has taken so long.
