I just upgraded a 5.4Sp2 store to 5.5. It went pretty well. I was using custom Google Analytics code I found on the forum. In switching to the built-in stuff I can't figure out what the Ecommcerce section is asking.

I check the "Use Google Tracking" and put in my tracking Id. I checked "Use Google Ecommerce Tracking", but I can't figure out what "Google Store Name" and "Google Category Name" are supposed to be. Can they be anything?

In Analytics there is just a checkbox for "Yes, an E-Commerce Site". No place to even set a store name or category name.

On the Google Analytics Site are we able to use the Site Search Feature of Google Analytics? iF so what do we use for Query Parameter (required):

Analytics Settings > Profile Settings > Edit Profile Information

Profile Name
Website URL
Aplly Cost Data (Check Box) (Yes, No)
Exclude URL Query Parameters: Do we leave this blank?
Yes, an E-Commerce Site

Site Search
Do Track Site Search

Query Parameter (required):
Use commas to separate multiple parameters (5 max)

Do you use categories for site search?


I figured someone else may be using this functionality... Ideas, suggestions.
