Can a Dynamic Category be Changed to Static?

The client needs to display the products at category level in Manual order. I've just found out this is done by using a static category and choosing product select on the category page.
Sites structure has already been created, categories with sub cats. Trouble is that we've used dynamic categories.
Can they be swapped over to static, or do we have to start from scratch!!!
Any advice would be appreciated :smile: |

Yes, you can switch the category type directly in the database.
