Is there a way to have another criteria other than "default". "Name" Ascending/descending" order in which to dispay category results?

I am assuming the "default" is the order in which the products were created. The reason being is that I would like concerts tickets to display in date order. Could the "default" sort be referenced to another field?

Thanks,

Derek

Derek,

In BV5, you can sort the default order of products in Categories anyway you wish.

Under the web admin, go to CATALOG tab, then CATEGORIES. Select the respective Category (or sub-category) and click EDIT. Under the edit mode for the category, look on the right column and choose the SELECT button under the PRODUCT SELECTION area. This will bring up the list of products assigned to this particular category. Simply choose the UP & DOWN arrow buttons to arrange the default order for your products. Repeat in all categories needed and you will be all set.

If what Randy described won't work for you then you would need to customize the store.

Hi Kim,

It's not the most efficient method if you had lots to do but my categories only range up to 30 items and most of them are already in the correct order so I only had to change 2 of them. For example, when I setup a tour I do so in date order but if a date is added after the fact I can now move it to it's proper position.

Thanks,

Derek
