Hi,
This question has been bothering us for a while now.
If a customer made a purchase using a gift card can we print that gift card's code on the customer invoice? |

Hi, If you are talking about GiftCertificate number then go to admin side. Then click Content tab. Select "Email Templates" subtab. Choose "New Order Receipt E-mail". On the right there are tags you can add to invoice. As for you it will be [[GiftCertificate.CertificateCode]]. Place it inside html body of template.
Hope this helps. |

Hey, thanks for your response.
It looks like [[GiftCertificate.CertificateCode]] was only meant for the Gift Certificate Email Template. I get get an error when I try to include that tag on "New Order Receipt E-mail" or on "Admin Order Receipt".
But that's really the least of my worries. If an order was made using a Gift Certificate, I want to be able to print that GiftCertificate Code on the Customer Invoice or the Administrator Receipt print templates. The [[GiftCertificate.CertificateCode]] tag doesn't even exist on the Print Templates page at all. |

If that's the case then you will probably need to have this added by a developer. I would also suggest sending BV an email through their contact form requesting this feature. |

Can,
The GiftCertificate tag was never designed for order templates because more than one gift certificate can be issued per line item. The tag wasn't designed to handle that situation. I can add this to the list of requested features but for now it would require some custom programming.
