I've just installed the website and solution files and added a content control to a homepage column.

I get the following error when I try to delete a content control from a homepage column:

Line: 407
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method

Setup version: BV Commerce 5 new download sample site with all code

Setup computer(s):

- xp pro, sql server 2005, iis 6, .net 3.5 sp1

- windows 7 sql server 2008, iis7, .net 3.5 sp1

Source: mscorlib

It looks to be an ajax error from the Anthem.dll

When I step through the javascript debugger, it finally deletes the content control, but it errors on the following lines (in
<SPAN lang=EN>
function[1] Anthem_SetHiddenInputValue(form, name, value) {
[1] var[/1][1]null[/1][1] if[/1][1]else[/1][1]"input"[/1][1]"name"[/1][1]"type"[/1][1]"hidden"[/1][1]"value"[/1][1] var[/1][1] if[/1][1]null[/1]Line 407 form[name] = input;
}

}
[/1]

<SPAN lang=EN>
function[1]var[/1][1]if[/1][1]null[/1][1]typeof[/1][1]"undefined"[/1][1]var[/1][1]if[/1][1]null[/1] parentElement.removeChild(input);
[/1][1]}
}
}
[/1]

Can anyone assist in resolving this issue, so I don't have to go through debugger every time I want to delete something?

I have found the problem and temporary work around.

I am testing in IE8, where I get the error.

When I open the development toolbar and change to: Browser Mode: IE7, the page works fine, but only during the session.

The Anthem.dll may need testing in IE8.

If anyone has other comments, I welcome them.

Thanks,

John

It sounds like you need to apply the latest service. This was fixed by adding a special IE8 meta tag to the admin and other pages on the site. For example, if you test the Estimate Shipping page on the cart in IE8 it will probably throw an error.
