5.7.2 Possible bug, or did I forget a customization?

I've noticed a different fuctionality, but I'm not sure if this is a customization I forgot to implement at upgrade, or it it a change/bug. Please confirm?
When you have a hidden category, and you click 'view in store' to visit it with a direct link, an error is thrown that it cannot be found. You used to be able to view a hidden category by direct link, correct?

Yes, you could view a hidden category previously. I just tested my stock 5.7.2 site and I am seeing the same behavior that you are: hidden categories do not display. |

Thanks for confirming. Giving this more thought, this would definately be a bug and not just a change. logic would imply that an inactive category would be hidden, where as a hidded category should be accesible but hidden from the menu.
