I have a customer who purchased two $10 Gift Certificates today and when applied to an order, they are valued at $0.00. In the admin tool, the order for the certs was successful and I clearly see the Issued Amount as $10.00 each with their unique IDs, but their Current Amount is $0.00 for both. If it matters, these are "fixed price" GCs.

What's missing? Do they need to be activated?

Has the GC order been marked 'paid'? It sounds like it probably was. If the "Current Value" is $0.00, it sounds like it was already used.

Thanks Aaron - yes...it was marked as paid. Is there a way to track where that GC was used?

UPDATE: I found the order where the GCs were used and it looks like they were successfully applied. I don't think it is clear to the user that they worked though - perhaps it's a UI flaw somewhere.

From what I remember, both the public-side order receipt screen won't show a gift certificate was applied without customizations. I'm trying to get the gift certificate process working a bit smoother in the coming weeks for a client of ours because the current process is really bad. I'm excited to see the revised process in BV6 when it becomes available as BV was planning an overhaul for them.
