Over the past couple of months -- maybe since upgrading to 7.4, I have noticed that every once in a while when I try to retrieve Orders or Daily Sales Reports for the day I get no results. The orders are there, and usually if I close the browser (IE8) and open it again, they once again show up, but it's pretty maddening -- wondered if anyone else was seeing this. Everything else, including sales on the front end, continue to work okay at the same time.

I think it's a timeout issue. I see the same thing with the product listing on the Catalog tab.

I am still seeing this VERY OFTEN -- and is very frustrating when a customer is on the phone and I want to see their shopping cart and get an empty page on the Shopping Cart page, empty page on Orders Screen, Reports Screen -- I close the browser, reload, same thing, open Safari, same problem

This is really maddening - it's been about 8 hours now and I cannot see, read, print orders from the admin backend -- all other info -- catalog, customer records, etc., come up fine, but nothing in the Order Manager screen, Sales Reports, or Shopping Carts. If an order is tied to a customer account, I can go in through that account and load and print the order just fine, but it was an anonymous checkout, the only way I can print anything is to use Shipper to print a Packing Slip.

It's not just my machine -- the tech guys at Applied I see the same thing - we've reset the app pool, reset IIS, extended the timeout, all with no luck. No errors show in the log at all either.

Figured it out -- well, at least I got my data to display. I tried one more thing, thinking that the pages seemed to be acting as if there was mixed secure and nonsecure data -- so I dropped the "s" off the URL and loaded the page using http://... and it loaded the data -- and all subsequent loads of Sales and Orders screens, even though they were using https:// loaded fine. So I'm not sure what the trigger was, but thought I would post the fix if anyone else was running into the issue.
